The Loring Park is a neighborhood in the southwestern portion of downtown known for its cultural and artistic flair as well as its broad mix of residents. Loring Park offers quick access to all major freeways and the boundaries of the neighborhood are Lyndale Avenue to the west, Hawthorne Avenue to the north, 12th Street to the northeast, Highway 65 to the east and I-94 to the south.
The main magnet of this neighborhood is 35-acre Loring Park, which is the largest park in the Central Community in Minneapolis. The park and the corresponding Community Arts Center are located across from the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. The Arts Center hosts many wedding, receptions and private events while the park is home to many festivals such as the Loring Park Art Festival and the Twin Cities Pride Festival as well as live concerts and social events each summer. Loring Park offers the perfect urban park feel and contains a series of bike and walking paths that wind around the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway.
The Loring Park Neighborhood has a wide variety of high-rise apartments, large stone and brick mansions, traditional homes and modest brick walk-ups, and this variety gives renters, owners and property managers much to choose from. Surrounded by cultural staples, with access to expansive green space and a close proximity to Downtown, the Loring Park Neighborhood is a real estate hot spot.
